Buddhist Tours Orissa

DAY 01 : Bhubaneswar
Arrive Bhubaneswar. Meeting and assistance on arrival. Transfer to Hotel.
Afternoon temple tours of Bhubaneswar. Visit the most famous temples : Rajarani, Mukteswar, Sidheswar, Parasurameswar and Lingaraj, Bindusagar Lake.
Meals and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 02 : Bhubaneswar
After breakfast, visit to Dhauli Hill. See the rock edict and Bhddhist temple. The great battle of "Kalinga" took place adjecent to river "Daya", where millions of solders were killed by Emperor ASHOK. Later who gave-up war and accepted "BUDDHISM". The inscription of " BUDDHISM" are from the period 276 - B.C.
Later continue drive to visit the rock-cut cause at Khandagiri and Udayagiri.
After Lunch, Visit to Nandankanan zoo & botanical garden.
Meals and overnight at hotel.

DAY 03 : Bhubaneswar, Lalitgiri, Ratnagiri, Udayagiri
After breakfast, Full day excursion to world famous Buddhist University- excavation site, where the relics of Lord Buddha found in a golden casket. These place were prominent in history- as per the Chinese visitor Hveng Sa.
Return to Bhubaneswar in the evening. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 04 : Bhubaneswar, Konark, Puri
After breakfast, drive to Konark and visit the "SUN TEMPLE" dates back to 13th century and built by Ganga Dynasty. The temple has been declared as " WORLD HERITAGE SITE" Later continue drive to Puri. On arrival, Check -in to hotel.
Afternoon city tour of Puri-including visit to colourful market and Lord Jagannath temple. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 05 : Puri, Bhubaneswar
After breakfast, return drive to Bhubaneswar enroute visit the art and crafts village. RAGHURAJPUR & appliqué work at Pipli. On arrival at BHUBANESWAR - transfer in time to airport for flight to onward journey. BON VOYAGE !
