Sas - Bahu Temple

   The original name of these temples is Sahastra Baahu. Built by Mahipala Kachhawah in 1093, the temples are dedicated to Vishnu and have elaborate interiors with fine carvings. The Sas Temple is the larger one and has an ornate base with four pillars carrying the triple storeyed mandap. Both temples are dedicated to Vishnu and have elaborately decorated interiors.

The charge to enter the Sas Bahu temple is nominal. Nearby a modern Gurudwara (Sikh temple) was built in 1970 in the memory of Guru Har Gobind Singh (1595 - 1644) who was imprisoned here.
