Hari Ki Pauri (Steps on the sides of Kund) is situated on the sides of Brahma Kund. There are many stories prevalent about these steps. According to one of these stories, this place got its name Har Ki Pauri as footsteps of Lord Vishnu (Shri Hari) were seen here.

According to Gauraksh community, King Vikramaditya of Ujjaini built these steps for the convenience of his brother Bhrithari. Bhrithari meditated at Shivalik Hills and used to come down to Brahma Kund through stairs to take a bath there. During those days these steps were known as Bhrithari ki Pauri, which later came to be known as Hari ki Pauri. In local parlance this place is called Har ki Pauri.

During the regime of Mughal emperor Akbar, King of Amer, Man Singh built steps in Brahma Kund and constructed Shri Ganga temple. This temple still exists in the middle of the river. The temple is undergoing renovation. The idols of the Goddesses Ganga, Sita and Laxmi lord Ram are installed here. Temples of the Goddess Ganga and King Bhagirath are also situated here. A large number of temples including that of  Athkhambha temple of Goddess Ganga,  Shri Laxminarayan Temple, Shri Ganga Temple, Sakshevar Mahadev Temple, Satyanarayan Temple, Harinarayan Temple, Badrinarayan Temple, Valmiki Temple and Narmadeshwar Temple are located atop a valley on the bank of the Brahma Kund.
