Saptrishi Ashram Haridwar

  Before advent of the river Ganga, Saptrishis were residents in the Ashrams of Haridwar. To protect these Ashrams from getting inundated, Ganga divided herself into seven streams. Brahmleen Goswami Ganeshdatt discovered Saptsarovar and Saptrishi Ashram. He re-established Saptrishi Ashram in the year 1947.
This Ashram is situated about 8 kms from the railway station and bus stand in Haridwar.  Chandrashekhar Goswami looks after management of this Ashram.
This Ashram has various temples within its premises and prominent among them are Ganesh temple, Durga temple, Hanuman temple, Gangeshwar temple, Radhakrishna temple, Saraswati temple and Venkatesh temple.
This Ahram also a Sanskrit college after the name of Jagdev Singh. Besides it also has a `Kirti Stambh' and a hostel having a capacity of 100 students. The Ashram provides residential and food facilities to these students free of cost. The Ashram has 44 cottages for the accommodation of devotees. It also runs a food zone where food is provided to about 300 saints every day.
Ashram has built a Goswami Ganeshdatt Ghat on the bank of river Ganga where visitors take bath. A `gaushala' has been built near the Ashram and it has as many as 110 cows. A complex named after Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya has been constructed here, besides, the Ashram has also proposed to open a women university.
