The Gaitor, Jaipur

       This is where the Kachhwaha royalty ended their journey on the earth. This cremation ground of the kings and princes of the ruling clan of Jaipur is located in a quiet valley between Nahargarh and Garh Ganesh. The rows of domed cenotaph stand among rocky outcrops and sprawling trees, their silence only disturbed by the chirping of birds. Gaitor is a majestic sight with the Nahargarh fort atop a hill in the background. The marble 'chhatris' mark the sites where the Kachhwaha kings were cremated.
