Jaigarh has a foundry where some of the best cannons in India were cast. Many of these cannons were used by the Kachhwaha kings when they led Mughal armies on expedition in the region.

Among the armoury displayed here is the world's largest cannon that was made at the foundry. Jaivan, as it was named, has an ornamental 20-foot-long barrel. Its wheels nine-and-a-half feet in diameter and the whole of it weighs a massive 50 tonnes. Made in 1720, it was never used in war and test fired only. It is said that the cannon ball traveled a distance of 38 km and the roar of the cannon made many houses collapse in Jaipur.

The highest point at Jaigarh is the seven storied Diya Burj, the turret of lamps from where one gets a panoramic view of Jaipur and its surroundings..
