so carry heavy woollens in winter and light woollens in
summer.

purification tablets.
- If you plan to go fishing or boating,
wear a life jacket.
- For avid bird-watchers, carry your
binoculars.
- Don't litter the mountainside and do not
leave fires unattended.
- Carry a torch.
- During winters there is fog and mist on
hill roads. It is advisable to drive during the day.
- During monsoons check the condition of
the hill roads before you set out.
- If driving top your fuel tank at
Haldwani or Kathgodam.

pretty deep clean lake with its nine corner is a captivating site. Length of
lake is 983 mts. ,breadth is 693 mts & depth 40.3 mts. It is within an
enchanting valley offering an opportunity of angling and bird watching. There is
ample scope for rowing ,paddling or yachting. Naukuchiatal or
'lake of nine corners' is known for its tranquillity and for the orchards and
dense jungles that surround it. The lake is fed by an underground perennial
spring. This lake boasts of a good walking track around the lake, apart from
boating and angling. One could also take off on a trek in the neighbouring
hillside
