KERALA BIRDS & WILDLIFE TOUR

This tour includes seven of Kerala’s National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries. All the places visited offer a good range of wildlife, especially birds. Detailed itinerary available on request.

Day 1
Arrive Trivandrum Airport and transfer to Ponmudi. Rest of day at leisure bird watching in the resort’s plantation.

Day 2
Trek to waterfall in Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary and visit a tribal village.

Day 3
Transfer to backwaters and cruise on houseboat.

Day 4
Full day cruising backwaters. Second night onboard houseboat.

Day 5
Transfer to backwater resort adjacent to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary.

Day 6
Transfer to Thekkady (Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary).

Day 7
Exclusive guided jungle trek. Plantation visit.

Day 8
Transfer to hill station of Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park.

Day 9
Day trip to Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day 10
Transfer to Kothamangalam. Evening visit to Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary on the banks
 of the Periyar River, considered to be the best place for birding in Kerala. 

Day 11
Guided visit to Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary. Rest of day at leisure to discover birds in
the local area with another option to visit the bird sanctuary in the evening.

Day 12
Transfer by train to Calicut and car to Wayanad. Overnight in treehouse.

Day 13
Bird watching and trekking in the area.

Day 14
Transfer to hotel on banks of river in Calicut area.

Day 15
Fly home from Calicut Airport
